At Welton we pride ourselves on having developed a real family-atmosphere, where children are happy and care for each other.

We get to know each pupil’s individual needs and offer tailored guidance and support. Ofsted noted how all pupils ‘feel confident and safe’ at our school, and that ‘pupils’ spiritual, moral and cultural development is outstanding.’
It is really important to us that we help to create well-rounded individuals, equipped for secondary school. Pupils are involved in a number of charity, community and whole-school activities. From Year 1 the children become involved in School council activities.
In Year 6 pupils take on much more of a leadership role, becoming House Captains, reading mentors to younger children, Tour guides and will undertake various roles and responsibilities around the school that add to the smooth running of day to day life at Welton.
