To further our aim of enabling each child to reach his/her potential we have an experienced Special Needs Co-ordinator.
A member of the Governing Body also has responsibility for Special Needs. Provision for children with specific learning or physical needs may be in the form of class support or withdrawal sessions, in one-to-one, paired or small group activities appropriate to their needs. The provision is implemented after consultation between staff, parents and the child, together with any relevant support agencies.
Those children who are more able are also identified for inclusion on our Gifted & Talented Pupil Register. Through extension or accelerated work, if necessary in consultation with appropriate agencies and parents, we support and encourage these children within the framework of the curriculum.
